Madan Panchal, Ghaziabad. The central and state governments are very serious in taking Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) to the needy. Special campaigns are being conducted to make Ayushman cards for the beneficiaries, but due to the negligence of the officials, the operators are hindering the progress of this scheme.
The situation is that 89,791 operators of the state are resting after getting the ID for making Ayushman card. According to the report released from the government level, 89,791 operators are not active. This is the situation when apart from the Health Department, the Ayushman Scheme is reviewed monthly from the administration level.
There is a lot of publicity regarding making cards. According to the report, a total of 1,14,553 operator IDs are operational under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana in Uttar Pradesh. From 1 to 11 February 2026, only 24,762 operators were found active. Through which a total of 2,54,084 requests for making Ayushman cards were registered.
The report revealed that 89,791 operators are not actively participating in the Ayushman Card campaign. According to the review report, on February 11, 2026, a total of 36,876 Ayushman card applications were made by only 9,041 operators, while the remaining operators were not active.
Only 223 out of 1251 operators were found active in Ghaziabad, 28 out of 1138 in Gautam Buddha Nagar and 131 out of 1024 in Hapur. In this regard, the government level has given instructions to the CMOs of all the districts to activate 100 percent operators.
Besides, instructions have been given to conduct a campaign to make cards of those beneficiaries whose cards have not been made. On the other hand, in this regard, Dr. RK Gupta, the nodal of Ayushman Yojana from Ghaziabad, says that the inactive ID will be activated. A village-to-village campaign is being run to make cards for the beneficiaries.
