Kolkata Knight Riders is a strong team
Sports Desk, New Delhi. Three-time champion Kolkata Knight Riders have spent a lot of money this year and have named two-three powerful players. This franchise has compensated Andre Russell with Australia's Cameron Green and bought him for Rs 25.20 crore. The arrival of Green will provide balance to the team. Apart from this, the franchise has bought many big names which will strengthen its playing-11.
Andre Russell will remain associated with the team as a coach this season. He has decided to retire from IPL. In his place, the team needed a player who could bowl like him and also score runs fast. However, Green can be seen batting higher up the order.
The batting order could be like this
Ajinkya Rahane can play as an opening batsman this season too and he does well here too. Rahul Tripathi can be seen opening with him. Rahul is back in Kolkata and he can do well as an opener. Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Cameron Green may get a chance at number-3 and four. As far as the middle order is concerned, it is certain that Ramandeep will play. Rovman Pavel can be seen in a big role as a finisher.
Here, if the team decides to start the innings with Sunil Narine, then Manish Pandey can also get a place in the middle order.
These bowlers may get a place
Pathirana is certain to play and along with this, Sunil Narine and Varun Chakraborty are also certain to play. The team also has the option of Green for fast bowling. Rovman Powell can also bowl. There is more space for a bowler in the team and for that Akashdeep is the best option. Apart from him, the team will also have strong options in the form of Vaibhav Arora and Umran Malik.
