Issues Of Aadhaar Reform, Rehabilitation Of Displaced People And Water For Farmers Raised In Jharkhand Assembly

State Bureau, Ranchi. The issue of difficulties in making amendments in Aadhaar card was raised in the Jharkhand Assembly on Thursday. Bhavnathpur MLA Anant Pratap Dev told the House that people are facing big problems in getting the errors corrected in the Aadhaar card. It is taking time from 30 to 90 days. People have to come to Ranchi for correction in Aadhaar, hence the government should make arrangements to correct the errors in Aadhaar card in the districts.

In response, Minister Deepak Biruwa said that the process of correction in Aadhaar is done by the Government of India. The headquarters of the concerned authority is in Bengaluru. The Government of India will be requested to open a center there so that the process of correction in Aadhaar can be done in the district headquarters or divisional headquarters.

On Thursday itself, Ichagarh MLA Sabita Mahato raised the issue of rehabilitation of displaced people affected by Chandil Dam. He said that the displaced have not been rehabilitated yet. No meeting has taken place for two years.

In response, Water Resources Minister Hafizul Ansari said that compensation amount has been given to the displaced people at 13 places. It is being given at other places. On this, Sabita Mahato said that money has been given only to the displaced people of 116 villages, the rest should also be given.

On this the Minister assured everyone of prompt payment as per rules. Dumri MLA Jairam Mahato also raised a similar question and said that industries get water easily, but farmers do not. The minister said that with the underground pipeline scheme, farmers will easily get water for irrigation. Work is going on on this.
