Digital security training to senior citizens in Shimla and Dhanbad
Digital Desk, Noida. Under the campaign 'Digital Safety of Senior Citizens: Sach Ke Sathi', an online training program on digital safety was organized for senior citizens of Shimla in Himachal Pradesh and Dhanbad in Jharkhand on 13 February 2026.
This webinar was organized under Google's prestigious 'DigiKavch' initiative in collaboration with Dainik Jagran and Vishvas News. 'Spark' NGO cooperated in the webinar in Shimla and 'Main Hoon Dhanbad' NGO cooperated in the program in Dhanbad. In the program, experts from Vishvas News informed people about the rapidly increasing cyber crime and fraud and gave information about Google's 'Digiwatch' program.
Explaining the importance of this program, he said that cyber criminals target senior citizens more. Scammers target people in the name of fake job scam and investment scam.

In a webinar organized for senior citizens of Shimla, Vishvas News Deputy Editor Pallavi Mishra, while throwing light on the scams through phishing links, said that cyber criminals adopt new tactics to trap people.
For this, fraudsters send fake links with tempting offers through email, message or social media. You should not click on any such link. By clicking on this, the user's personal data can be stolen, which can lead to financial loss.
Devika Mehta, Deputy Editor, Vishvas News, while explaining in detail about online fraud, said that fraudsters often send phishing links with tempting messages on festivals or special occasions.

Tips to protect yourself from cyber crimes and online fraud
Pradeep Azad, founder of 'Spark' NGO, said in the webinar in Shimla that not only the elderly but also the youth get a lot of benefit from such webinars. The people participating in the program also shared some bitter experiences they had.
Inaugurating the webinar from Dhanbad, Deputy Editor Devika Mehta said that the aim of this campaign is to protect senior citizens from cyber frauds, hence Vishvas News is providing such training across the country. Tips to prevent online fraud were also given in the programme.
