Supporter of free, fair elections in Bangladesh- Jaiswal
Regarding Bangladesh elections, Jaiswal said that we had received an invitation to send observers. But, to avoid any perception of interference, we did not send our official observers.
By staying away from polling stations, India ensured that the credibility of the election was judged by the Bangladeshi public and the international community. We stand for free, fair, inclusive and credible elections in Bangladesh. We will wait for the mandate and then consider the issues that arise.
