Jewar Airport Expansion: Award Of Land Of Four Villages Announced, Farmers Will Get Compensation Of Rs 4778 Per Square Meter

Jagran correspondent, Jewar. The award of land of four villages of Jewar was announced on Saturday in the office of Additional District Officer Land Ownership. The land of these villages is being acquired for the expansion of Noida International Airport. In the third phase, land of a total of 14 villages is to be acquired, out of which the award process of 13 villages has been completed.

After the final award of village Thora is announced on February 2, the administration will organize camps for the convenience of the farmers in every village and prepare the compensation file. Additional District Officer Land Ownership Bachchu Singh said that the award of land of farmers of four villages was announced under Section 23 of the Land Acquisition Act in the office located in Greater Noida on Saturday.

Award at the rate of Rs 4778 per square meter has been declared for 271.57 hectares of land of 1637 farmers of Khwajpur, 9.34 hectares of 180 farmers of Bankapur, 86.08 hectares of 910 farmers of Parohi and 274.98 hectares of land of 1650 farmers of Neemka.

Before this, the award of land of nine villages has already been announced. The compensation amount to the farmers will be sent directly to their bank accounts. To ensure that farmers do not face any problem in getting compensation, camps will be organized in each village after the award of Thora village is declared through the tehsil administration.
