Life disrupted due to cold and dense fog in Katihar
Samvad Sutra, Kursela (Katihar). The severity of cold is continuously increasing in the block area. Due to cold westerly winds and dense fog coming from North India, the temperature is continuously falling. Due to which common life is being badly affected. Visibility has reduced due to dense fog in the morning and late evening, while the cold winds have further increased the problems of the people.
The biggest impact of cold is being seen on the poor, daily wage laborers, elderly and children. It has become difficult for daily wage laborers to go to work early in the morning, due to which their livelihood is also being affected. At the same time, the activities of farmers working in the fields have also been limited.
Drivers are facing problems
Old farmer Suresh Modi said that due to cold, maintaining the fields has also become difficult. At the same time, drivers are facing a lot of difficulties in moving on the road due to dense fog.
Bike driver Abhinandan, Vishal and others said that due to fog, nothing is clearly visible on the road, due to which there is a possibility of accidents.
Demand for bonfire at the square
Local people have demanded to arrange bonfires at various major intersections of the area. CO Anupam Kumari said that in view of the cold, the administration is making every effort to provide relief.
Kursela Nagar Panchayat's EO Rupa Kumari and Circle Officer said that to protect from cold, bonfires have been arranged at six major places including Balthi Maheshpur Chowk, Kursela Chowk, Community Health Center, Nagar Panchayat Office, Block Complex and other squares and intersections.
Medical officer in-charge Dr. Amar Lal said that in such weather, people have been advised to be especially cautious, wear warm clothes and avoid going out unnecessarily in the morning and evening.
