Digital Desk, New Delhi. Investigation into the suicide case of 16-year-old student Aditya is going on in Kochi, Kerala. Initial investigation has revealed that the student took this step due to the death of one of her Korean friends. Investigators are probing the role of a suspicious Instagram account that allegedly targets minors.

Actually, student Aditya had left home on January 27 on the pretext of going to school, but later she was found dead in a stone quarry near her house. In an alleged suicide note, the student had mentioned the emotional distress related to the death of a Korean friend.

Instagram account is being investigated

However, investigators say the case may now go beyond a personal tragedy, as they look into the potential impact of the secret online network. At the center of this investigation is an Instagram account named 'Black Venom', which Aditya was following.

Police sources said the account contained posts and photos related to Korean music bands that appeared to be designed to take advantage of teenagers' strong fascination with Korean pop culture.

According to reports, the account initially had more than 30 followers, but those followers disappeared after the girl's death, raising suspicions of coordinated activity.

Instagram account login in same phone

Police found that students were bringing mobile phones to school in violation of rules and were running multiple Instagram accounts from the same device. In one case, a phone sent for forensic examination was found to have eight Instagram accounts logged in. Login details have been secured, and many accounts were created under fake names, making them difficult to trace.

Investigators suspect that minors may have been communicating through anonymous accounts in closed groups, and possibly exchanging symbolic messages. There is currently an ongoing investigation into whether organized cyber groups are psychologically influencing teenagers by circulating misleading or emotionally stimulating material.
