State Bureau, Patna. Bihar Farmers Registry: Deputy Chief Minister cum Revenue and Land Reforms Department Vijay Kumar Sinha said that the target of 50 percent registration has been achieved under the Farmer Registry campaign on Saturday morning.
This is a matter of pride for the state. This achievement before the deadline under Mission Mode-3 is the result of our team spirit and cooperation of farmers.
Second installment will be given as incentive
He said that for this achievement, the second installment of Rs 450 crore will be received from the Central Government as incentive, which will give further impetus to the schemes in the interest of farmers.
According to the data released by the department, Farmer Registry enrollment of 43,04,548 farmers has been completed against the total 85,53,570 PM farmer beneficiaries in the state, which shows 50.3 percent achievement.
Under the campaign, enrollment work was done rapidly by organizing camps in the districts with the active participation of revenue personnel, zonal officers, agriculture officers and all the district administrations.
Vaishali tops in the state
Many districts have performed remarkably. Vaishali stood first in the state by registering 102 per cent achievement, while districts like Sheohar, Begusarai, Katihar and Buxar also recorded progress close to or exceeding the target.
22,51,639 farmers have also been enrolled under the Farmer Registry linked to PM Kisan, which is 26.32 percent.
According to departmental officials, now special focus is being given on enrollment of remaining farmers, so that 100% target can be achieved soon.
