Two miscreants kidnapped him from the farm at some distance from his house on Friday morning and demanded Rs 10 lakh. When the miscreants called the police demanding their snatched mobile phone, the miscreants burnt it alive and ran away.
The police reached the spot and picked up the young man who was screaming in pain from the incident site and brought him to PHC Bhatparrani and when his condition became critical, the doctors referred him to Maharishi Devraha Baba Medical College. Where he is undergoing treatment in critical condition. The reason for the incident is said to be old rivalry with some people in the village. The aggrieved party has informed the police and demanded action. Police is investigating.
35 year old Ranjit Kushwaha, son of Kailash Kushwaha, resident of Motipur Bhual of Bhatni police station area, had gone towards his farm at 8 in the morning. Meanwhile, two youths came on a bike with their faces tied and started abusing. Before Ranjeet could understand anything, the miscreants started beating him and snatched his mobile and forced him to sit on the bike. They brought him to the pond of Bhingari market and demanded Rs 10 lakh.

In such a situation, Ranjeet told the miscreants to give me his mobile only then he will call and ask for money. As soon as the miscreants gave the mobile to Ranjeet, instead of calling home, he called the police. As soon as the miscreants saw this, they burnt it. When his body caught fire, the miscreants ran away. According to Ranjit, I controlled the fire with great difficulty. After some time, Khampar police reached the spot and took me to Bhatparrani Hospital.
When asked, the victim said that he could not recognize the face of the miscreants, but remembered the number of the motorcycle. He has expressed apprehension against a person from the same village. Ranjit runs a school from classes one to five in the village and also has a rice mill business. Told that on last April also an incident had happened to me while sleeping in the field.
I filed a case in Bhatni police station, but no action was taken. According to Bhingari Bazaar correspondent, Additional Superintendent of Police South Sunil Kumar Singh, CO Bhatparrani Anshuman Srivastava reached the incident site and took necessary information. Police station head Bhatni Mrityunjay Rai said that the complaint has not been received yet. The matter seems suspicious. Investigation is being done.
