Jagran correspondent, Siddharthnagar. A serious case has come to light in which a person's farm was taken over by showing him dead about 22 years ago. When the victim came to know about this, he first proved that he was alive and then started the fight for justice against the alleged fraud on him.

After presenting the case before various authorities for about two years, the matter came to the notice of District Magistrate Shivasharanappa GN. The investigation team formed on the instructions of the District Magistrate confirmed the fraud in its report, on the basis of which Shohratgarh police station has registered a case against 11 accused including three women.

The accused include the names of Ramrati, Ramprasad, Ramnivas, Balkrishna, Sugriva, Bhagdei, Rampal, Arjun, Sulekha, Mohan and Ramanand, residents of Chandai village. Everyone is accused of fraudulently getting the land in their name. The victim Dwarika, a resident of Chandai village of Shohratgarh police station area, says that he is currently residing in Madhyanagar Basantpur of Pachpedwa police station area of ​​Balrampur district.

After the death of his father, agricultural land was registered in his name as heir. It is alleged that on March 14, 1992, his cousins ​​pretended to be dead and registered the farm in their name, portraying themselves as heirs. According to the victim, there was a need for money when his wife's health suddenly deteriorated in January 2024.

The alleged fraud came to light when he got Khatauni issued for the purpose of selling the farm. Meanwhile the respective cousins ​​had died and the land had been registered in the names of their wives and sons through wills.

After this the victim complained to the District Magistrate, on which an investigation team was formed. Instructions were given to file a case after the investigation team's report confirmed irregularities and alleged fraud in the records.

A case has been registered on the instructions of the District Magistrate in the case related to the year 1992. The report of the investigation team has been received and the matter is being investigated. Further legal action will be taken based on the evidence.
