RBSE Academic Update 2026
Education Desk, New Delhi. There is big news for the students of class 5th and 8th studying in Rajasthan Board and their parents. While sharing the information, Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan Ajmer has announced to end automatic promotion in 5th and 8th class. In such a situation, now children of these classes will also be failed if they get less than the minimum marks.
Decision taken due to lack of seriousness towards education
According to the details shared by the board, till now the students who got less marks in 5th or 8th class are passed through the automatic promotion system. But, due to this reason students were not taking studies seriously. Due to this, when students study in further classes, they have to face problems. The board has taken this decision regarding this.
Students who fail will have to retake the exam
Students who fail in Rajasthan Board's 5th and 8th examinations will also be given a chance to pass. After the results are declared, special examinations will be conducted again for the failed students within 45 days. By participating in this, students will be able to save their year from getting spoiled.
Objective of Education Department
The main objective of implementing this rule by the Rajasthan Education Department is to make students serious about studies, increase their capacity and improve the quality of education. Apart from this, the board has said that this will enable continuous monitoring of students and will increase the accountability of teachers along with students.
