Jagran correspondent, Faridabad. A person resident of Nangla Enclave became a victim of cyber fraud while trying to withdraw the outstanding money for Ola auto booking. The fraudsters pretended to be customer care personnel and instead of refunding, they withdrew around Rs 88,645 from the victim's account. Cyber ​​police station NIT has registered a case and started investigation.

Shiv Kumar Sharma, resident of Nagla Enclave Part 2, told in his complaint to the police that on November 16, 2025, he had booked an auto through Ola app. After booking, he had an outstanding balance of Rs 150, to get it back he tried to contact customer care. After some time, he received calls and WhatsApp calls from unknown numbers.

The caller introduced himself as an employee of Ola Customer Care and lured them in his words in the name of completing the refund process. The thugs tricked the victim and broke into his bank account through his phone and withdrew around Rs 88645. The victim lost his senses when he received the message of deducting money from his account. He immediately lodged a complaint about the matter on the cyber portal.
