A sensational case of luring a girl into a love trap by hiding her identity and exploiting her by blackmailing her through obscene videos has come to light from the capital Bhopal. 21-year-old Avesh Khan, resident of Katara Hills police station area, befriended a Hindu girl by calling himself 'Raja' and later started threatening her by making objectionable videos. On the complaint of the victim, the police arrested the accused and sent him to jail within 15 hours.
According to the police, Avesh Khan is originally a resident of Hapur (Uttar Pradesh) and was living in Bhopal for the last six years and working in a factory. He was introduced to his 22-year-old sister through a young man working in the factory. With the help of fake name and identity, the accused became close to the girl and had physical relations.
When the girl kept distance, he started threatening her.
The accused recorded obscene videos of the girl and continued exploiting her by threatening to make them viral on social media. It was during this time that the girl came to know about his real identity and tried to maintain distance. After this the accused started threatening him. Troubled by this, the girl contacted Hindu organisations.

The workers caught the accused when he had come to meet the girl. Activists of Hindu organizations handed him over to the police. A large number of objectionable videos and chats have come to light in the investigation of mobile phones by the police. Katara Hills police station in-charge Sunil Dubey said that apart from the victim, videos of two other girls were also found from the mobile phone of the accused. It is feared that there may be more victims. The mobile has been sent for forensic examination.
