Fire brigade personnel extinguishing the fire
Jagran correspondent, Jalandhar. A fire broke out in a scrap warehouse located in village Nahla of Jalandhar West constituency. Seeing the flames increasing, the fire brigade was informed. As soon as the information was received, fire department officer Rajinder Kumar Sahota reached the spot along with the team.
The fire was brought under control in one to two hours with the help of three vehicles. The cause of the fire has not been known yet. It is being told that due to the warehouse being located in a residential area, anger was also seen among the local people.
People say that several appeals have been made to shift the warehouse from here, but no hearing was held. Cardboard and leather were kept in the warehouse.
Due to the massive fire, cracks have appeared in the walls of nearby houses, the question is being raised as to who will be responsible for repairing them.
