M3M India And Bansal Brothers Will Be Prosecuted For Fraud, Court Takes Cognizance Of EOW Chargesheet

The court took cognizance of the chargesheet of the Economic Offenses Wing against Roop and Pankaj Bansal.

Jagran correspondent, New Delhi. The court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Tis Hazari, has taken cognizance of the charge sheet filed by the Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) against real estate company M3M India Private Limited and its directors Basant Bansal, Roop Bansal and Pankaj Bansal. The Court held that there were sufficient grounds to prosecute the accused on charges of cheating, criminal breach of trust and criminal conspiracy.

Chief Judicial Magistrate Harshita Mishra said that proceedings would be proceeded against the accused under sections 406, 420, 120-B and 34 of the IPC. The court has issued summons to all the accused to appear on April 4, 2026. This case is related to the FIR registered in March 2022 with EOW, Mandir Marg, which was registered on the complaint of MGF Developments Limited.

According to the complaint, in 2016, MGF had signed an agreement to give about 31 acres of land located in Chauma village, Sector 111 and 113 of Gurugram to M3M Group. In return, Rs 114 crore was to be paid, which was settled through a post-dated cheque, but the check bounced.

It is alleged that despite non-payment, M3M Group got the land in its name and started several residential and commercial projects there. The investigating agency alleges that on this basis a case of fraud and betrayal is made out.

In this case, the Punjab and Haryana High Court has already banned giving rights to any third party and carrying out construction work on the disputed land. Two FIRs lodged by M3M against MGF in Gurugram were closed after police investigation.
