Communication partner, Kharkhoda. An encounter took place between the STF Sonipat team and an accused wanted with a reward on the Sampla bypass of the city. During the encounter, the accused Anuj alias Doctor, resident of Gokalgarh was shot in the leg. The injured was admitted to the government hospital in Kharkhoda, from where he was referred to Khanpur Medical College after first aid.
Anuj alias Doctor was absconding in the sensational case of kidnapping and murder that took place in Rewari district on 15 October 2025. In that case, a young man named Ankit was first kidnapped, after which he was brutally beaten. Seriously injured Ankit later died.
This incident had created a sensation in the entire area. Police investigation had revealed that this incident was carried out as part of a pre-planned conspiracy. Anuj alias Doctor was accused of conspiracy in this case of kidnapping and murder. He was absconding since the incident.
Police were continuously raiding for his arrest and it is being told that a reward of Rs 5,000 was also announced on him. Police have so far arrested five accused in this case, while Anuj was out of the grip of the law for a long time.
STF, Sonipat team had received secret information that the wanted accused was present in Kharkhoda area. Based on the information, the team reached the spot and tried to catch the accused, but he opened fire on the team, after which in retaliation the STF fired, the accused was shot in the leg and he was controlled.
As soon as information about the incident was received, station in-charge Pawan Malik reached the spot with the police force. A country-made pistol has been recovered from the accused. This action of the police is being considered a big success. This has provided an important link in the Rewari murder case. Police action is continuing on the spot.
