Historic Decision Of Bihar Government, Illegal Hoarding Of Government Land Will Be Canceled In 45 Days

Jagran correspondent, Muzaffarpur. The government has taken a big decision to save government land in the state. The government land which has been frozen in the past will be canceled one by one. This action has now been time bound.

The Additional Collector of the district will execute the cases within 45 days of receiving the complaint or application or taking suo motu cognizance of illegal transfer of government land. In this regard, Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of Revenue and Land Reforms Department CK Anil has issued instructions.

In the letter sent to all Divisional Commissioners, Collectors and Additional Collectors on Wednesday, it is written that earlier the Chief Secretary had issued instructions prohibiting illegal transfer of government land.

In the second part of this campaign, the responsibility of canceling the previously issued wrong, suspicious or illegal jamabandi of government land lies with the Additional Collector. They will initiate a suit and cancel such gathering in a process of 45 days. At the same time, action will be taken against the concerned zonal authority responsible for such gatherings held after 1974.

All the collectors have been given the responsibility of continuous monitoring of this campaign, so that the government land recorded in the cadastral and revisional survey can be returned to the account of the government or the concerned department. Besides, land bank can also be created at the zonal level.
