Jagran correspondent, Patna. The nine kilometer long Bettiah-Kumarbagh newly doubled railway section under the Sagauli-Valmikinagar doubling project was inspected by Safety Commissioner (Railways), Eastern Circle Guru Prakash on Tuesday.

During this inspection, conducted under the auspices of Railway Safety Commissioner, Eastern Circle, Kolkata, a detailed check of track, signaling and safety standards of the motor trolley was done.

After the motor trolley inspection, a successful speed trial was also conducted by the special train between Kumarbagh and Bettiah station at a speed of 120 kilometers per hour. On this occasion, Jyoti Prakash Mishra, Divisional Railway Manager of Samastipur Division of East Central Railway and other officials of the Construction Department and Division were present.

Under the 110 km long Sagauli-Valmikinagar doubling project, doubling work of 82 km railway section has been completed so far and its commissioning has been done. With the completion of nine kilometers of Bettiah-Kumarbagh section, a total of 91 kilometers of work has now been completed under this project.
