Unidentified gunmen kidnapped 18 bus passengers in Pakistan (file photo)
PTI, Karachi. Unidentified gunmen have kidnapped 18 men traveling on a bus in Pakistan's Sindh province. These people were going towards Quetta. The incident took place near Ghotki area on Monday night, when the attackers opened fire on the bus on the Highway Link Road near the Sindh and Punjab border and took 18 male passengers hostage.
The bus driver and some passengers were injured in the firing. According to a female passenger traveling in the bus, 18 to 20 attackers were present at the spot. All were armed and their faces were covered.
The attackers asked 25 passengers to get off the bus, but did not harm the female passengers. Sindh Home Minister's spokesperson Zia Ul Hasan Lanjhar said there were around 30 passengers in the bus besides the driver and cleaner.
