Digital Desk, Lucknow. Khichdi and Makar Sankranti are being celebrated with faith across the country today. On the holy festival of Makar Sankranti in Gorakhpur, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath offered khichdi to Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath in the Gorakhnath temple in Brahma Muhurta as per the rituals. He prayed for public welfare and everyone's happiness and prosperity.
CM Yogi heartily congratulated everyone on Makar Sankranti and informed that lakhs of devotees have come to offer Khichdi to Baba Gorakhnath and take a dip in the Sangam in Prayagraj.

Whereas in Prayagraj, on the occasion of Makar Sankranti, the main bathing festival of Magh Mela, Mahasnan has started taking place at the Sangam of Teerthraj Prayag and other ghats from Brahma Muhurta itself. There has been a change in the weather compared to the previous days. Dense fog has been present since morning, yet there is tremendous enthusiasm among those taking the plunge of faith. People from every corner of the country, Kalpavasis, sages and saints, all the Naga ascetics are in the order of taking bath.

Divisional Commissioner Soumya Aggarwal, Police Commissioner Jogendra Kumar, District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma and other officials are present at Sangam Nose. Mike is continuously asking the bathers to vacate the ghat after taking bath as soon as possible.

Apart from this, the faith of devotees is also increasing in Varanasi. On the occasion of Makar Sankranti, a large number of devotees are taking a dip at the Ganga Ghat to take a holy bath and at the same time, chants of Har Har Mahadev are echoing.
