Jagran correspondent, Jammu. A case of serious allegations of cheating and harassment has come to light through friendship through dating app, then love relationship and then marriage. A girl living in Kolkata has accused a young man from Jammu of cheating on her after marriage, absconding with jewelery and valuables and making objectionable pictures viral.
The girl has lodged a complaint in this regard at the Women Cell police station of Jammu. According to the victim, she befriended a youth resident of Jammu through a dating app. At that time the young man was working in a private bank in Kolkata.
As the conversation progressed, a love affair was established between the two and later they got married. The girl alleges that after marriage the behavior of the young man changed and his family refused to accept her. The family said that the girl did not belong to their community and marriage without giving dowry was unacceptable.
The girl has alleged that the young man fled from Kolkata with her jewelery and other valuables. Apart from this, he took objectionable photographs of her and sent them to his friends, due to which she is facing mental harassment.
The victim is currently living in Jammu and has been approaching the police authorities for justice. The police have registered the complaint of the girl and started investigating the matter.
