Jagran correspondent, Chandigarh. A case of murder of a girl due to one-sided love has come to light. When talk of 23-year-old Suhani's marriage started, a young man named Vinay called her to the park to meet her. After this he was stabbed to death several times with a knife. The police have arrested the accused.
This sensational incident took place on Sunday night in the park near MCM College in Sector-36. The girl's family is originally from Uttar Pradesh and lives in Sector-35. Parents earn their living by ironing clothes.
Parents say that Vinay is originally from Madhubani, Bihar. He lives in Budail. Earlier he used to work at a sweet shop. He loved Suhani one-sidedly.
Suhani was preparing for BA third year and was working in a private company. There was talk of her marriage with a boy named Rahul. Rahul had to come home. When Vinay came to know about this, on some pretext he called Suhani to meet him in the park.
Suhani left the house saying that she would bring chocolate for Rahul. After this she reached the park in Sector-36. Here he and Vinay had an argument over some issue. Angry Vinay attacked Suhani with a knife and ran away.
When Suhani did not return home after some time, her mother called her. On the phone he said that I am in the park of Sector-36, mother, please save me. After this the parents reached the park. Suhani was rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared her dead.
The police registered a case of murder against Vinay and arrested him a few hours later. Investigation of the matter is ongoing. Police will present Vinay in court.
Vinay is absconding since the incident. The police took the girl to Sector 16 hospital where she was declared dead.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that the matter is related to a one-sided love affair. According to the police, the girl, resident of Sector-35, used to work in a private company. It is being told that a young man named Vinay was following her for some time and was in love with her one-sidedly. At the same time, the girl wanted to get rid of this relationship and was keeping distance from him. Police have registered a case of murder and have started raids in search of the accused Vinay.
Called in the park on the pretext of meeting. According to the information, on the day of the incident, Vinay called the girl to meet in the park near MCM College. An altercation took place between the two in the park. Meanwhile, the accused allegedly stabbed the girl several times with a knife and fled from the spot. People present nearby heard the noise and informed the police. As soon as the information was received, the police team immediately reached the spot and took the injured girl to the hospital, but by then it was too late.
