Ashish Chaurasia, Greater Noida. People involved in large-scale farming and plantation often face the problem of spraying medicine in case of crop infestation by insects. During this time, they have to spray the medicine in the entire crop and in such a situation, they have to spend more money and waste more time.

The solution to this problem has been found by the Manas team of Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal, Karnataka. The team has prepared a pair of Cleo and Freya drones and this drone will scan and mark the places where germs are present in the crop and spray the medicine only at that place. Manas team has displayed Cleo and Freya drones in the seven-day Drone Application and Research Program (NEEDER) organized at Gautam Buddha University. Asawari Kausal, who is leading the team, said that Cleo will keep Freo informed by live scanning the areas of the crop where germs are present and Freo will spray the medicine only on the areas with germs.

This will save the farmer's time as well as money. Because for those farmers who do farming on a large scale, spraying anti-germ medicines in the crop is a big expense as well as more main power has to be used and this drone will be able to scan the area full of germs in a short time and spray the medicines at that place.

Will tell the quantity of medicine with scan

When Cleo scans the disinfected area, it will tell live the amount of medicine to spray. Will be visible on the app to be connected to the drone. This project has been prepared together by the team of Asawari Kaushal, Bhuvan Chand Ragni, Samya, Anup Kamath, Anant Sarkar Gupta, Michal Maria, Parth, Taman Raja, Subh Keswani, Aryan Pagaria.

Will give information in foreign languages including Hindi and English

Members of the team told that on the app to which the drone will be connected, information will be available in all the languages of India including Hindi, English, Urdu, Gujarati, Malayalam, as well as in the languages of all the countries including America, Russia, China. With this, farmers using drones from any area will be able to easily understand and use every information.

The country's first national level program is being organized

The program has been done in collaboration with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India and with the support of Drone Federation of India. This is the first national level program organized in the country.

Here the participating students are working on real challenges like geotagging in disaster management, rapid delivery of emergency supplies and automated flying and precision spraying in the field of precision agriculture. The final winner here will be given a cash prize of Rs 40 lakh.
