Jagran correspondent, Jammu. There may be fluctuations in the weather in Jammu and Kashmir in the coming days. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather is likely to remain dry in Jammu and Kashmir in the coming days, while the night temperature may continue to fall further.
According to the information, there will be a mixed effect of clouds, light snowfall and dry weather on different days. The weather in the next 15 days will increase with many ups and downs. Tomorrow the weather will be generally dry throughout Jammu and Kashmir. The sky may be covered with clouds from the evening of 4th December. There is a possibility of light snowfall in some higher reaches in the late night or morning of December 5. The weather is expected to remain dry again during December 6 to 7.
On December 8, the sky may be partly to generally cloudy. There is also a slight possibility of light snowfall in some high altitude areas.
From December 9 to 13, the Meteorological Department has predicted partly to moderately cloudy sky these days. A forecast has been issued for cloudy weather as well as light snowfall in the high mountain areas on December 14 to 15.
The Meteorological Department has warned that light to moderate fog may persist in many areas of Kashmir Valley and some places in Jammu division. The department has advised people, especially drivers, to take special care while traveling in the morning and evening, because low visibility can increase the risk of accidents.
On Tuesday, the maximum temperature in Srinagar was recorded at 13.6 degrees Celsius, which is 1.6 degrees Celsius above normal, while the minimum temperature was -2.5 degrees Celsius, which is 1.3 degrees Celsius below normal. Night temperatures in Qazigund, Pahalgam and Kupwara also remained below zero.
Pahalgam recorded a minimum temperature of -2.2 degrees Celsius and Gulmarg 0.0 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature of Kukarnag was 12.8 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was -0.6 degrees Celsius. A decrease in humidity was observed here both during the day and night. The maximum temperature in Jammu city was 22.0 degrees Celsius, which is 1.5 degrees Celsius below normal. The night temperature was recorded at 8.6 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature in Katra, the base camp of Mata Vaishno Devi, was 18.2 degrees Celsius and the minimum was 8.5 degrees Celsius. Whereas in Bhaderwah the temperature was 15.6 degrees Celsius.
