Digital Desk, Indore. The series of deaths related to contaminated drinking water in Bhagirathpura area of the city is not stopping. On Wednesday, 54-year-old Ramnaresh Yadav died after complaining of vomiting and diarrhea. Family members allege that he died due to consumption of contaminated water, although this has not been officially confirmed by the administration yet.
Treatment continued for 15 days, life could not be saved
According to the deceased's daughter, Ramnaresh's stomach was filled with water, due to which liver and kidney failed. About a month ago also he had complained of diarrhea due to contaminated water. After a few days of relief, swelling in the stomach, hands and legs started increasing.
The family admitted him to a private hospital, where doctors diagnosed him with excessive fluid retention in his body. Treatment continued for about 15 days, but his condition did not improve and ultimately he died. Ramnaresh was earlier working as a security guard and currently lived at home. There are four daughters and elderly mother in the family.

Problem of contaminated water continues for two months
Local people say that the drinking water in Bhagirathpura has been contaminated for the last two months, due to which a large number of people have fallen ill. Residents claim that many other deaths have also occurred due to the same reason.
The administration had earlier informed the Assembly that about 20 deaths were linked to contaminated water. At the same time, local people allege that the actual number could be much higher. So far 36 deaths are said to have occurred in the area. Earlier on February 10, a two-year-old girl and a 75-year-old man had also died.
Amidst the continuously increasing cases, citizens have intensified their demand from the administration for immediate supply of pure drinking water and strict action against those responsible.
Information about patients is received daily from the primary health center. The name of the patient whose death has come to light is not in our list. The case is being investigated.
