Manoj Bajpayee's entry in Bhagam Part 2
Entertainment Desk, New Delhi. Tremendous chemistry was seen between Akshay Kumar, Govinda and Paresh Rawal in the 2006 comedy film Bhagam Bhaag. Now its sequel is about to come and there is a lot of suspense regarding its cast. According to the latest reports, there is going to be a big change in this trio in the upcoming film.
Manoj Bajpayee will replace Govinda
According to media reports, the makers have signed powerhouse performer Manoj Bajpayee to play an important role in the sequel. However, there is a sour and sweet thing in this news. Bajpayee is going to replace Hero No. 1 superstar Govinda in the film. This change is a major departure from the original lineup, as Govinda's excellent comic timing was a major reason for the success of the first film.

Govinda has been largely missing from the big screen since his project Rangeela Raja in 2019 while fans were hoping for a nostalgic reunion. The production is moving in a different creative direction. The sequel, directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, will maintain the edgy energy of the original Priyadarshan classic while also introducing a new story. The story is expected to revolve around the familiar concept of mistaken identity and growing confusion, ensuring that the spirit of the original film remains intact despite the change of faces.
Production details and new faces
Actress Meenakshi Choudhary is also joining Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal, who is going to return to Hindi cinema as the female lead. Chaudhary, who was last seen in Upstarts (2019), has been paired opposite Akshay Kumar. Interestingly, the search for the lead actress with Manoj Bajpayee is still going on.

While fans are waiting for an official confirmation from the production house about this casting change, the work has already started. The shooting of the film is going to start in Mumbai next month. For Akshay Kumar, 'Bhaagam Bhag 2' is just a part of a bigger list of comedy films, which also includes Bhoot Bangla, Welcome to the Jungle and Golmaal 5. For Bajpayee, entering the high-octane world of a commercial comedy with Kumar and Rawal is an exciting opportunity to showcase his versatility in a genre he doesn't often work in.
