Pandit Motilal Nehru Had Immense Love For Allahabad, He Wanted Swaraj From Here

Jagran correspondent, Prayagraj. Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru's father Pt. Motilal Nehru had a special role in achieving independence for the country. Whatever policy was made and decisions were taken against the British rule, Anand Bhawan was the center point, which was built by Motilal Nehru.

6th February is the death anniversary of Motilal Nehru. On this occasion, grammarian and linguist Acharya Pandit Prithvinath Pandey tells that Mahatma Gandhi had reached Allahabad (now Prayagraj) on 20 January 1930, the purpose of which was to meet Allahabad Pandit Motilal Nehru and consult him by making him aware of the dissatisfaction in the country and the fierce feeling of 'protest' spreading among the Muslims as a result of the massacre in Punjab.

After that a public meeting was held under the chairmanship of Motilal Nehru. In which Mahatma Gandhi, Colonel Wedgwood of England, Maulana Azad and Shaukat Ali also participated.

In this, Motilal Nehru had clearly said – Now we will have to make a strict policy, otherwise the atrocities of the British will continue to increase and they will not take the name of leaving from here.

While narrating another memoir, he said that Gandhiji wanted to hold the executive meeting in Bombay, on which Motilal said, 'Decide the fate of India in 'Swaraj Bhavan'. Do it in front of me and let me also participate in the honorable final settlement of my motherland.

Told that in the memory of Motilal Nehru, Motilal Nehru Divisional Hospital, Motilal Nehru Marg is in existence in Prayagraj. Apart from this, there is Motilal Nehru Children's Museum in Lucknow.
