More Than 1 Lakh 33 Thousand People Will Not Get Free Ration In Rae Bareli, Names May Be Removed From The Card

Jagran correspondent, Rae Bareli. The e-KYC campaign of ration card holders has not been completed yet. A total of one lakh 33 thousand nine hundred 60 people in the district have not got their KYC done. Whereas 27 thousand nine hundred 86 children up to five years of age have been exempted from this. E-KYC work of about 20 lakh 11 thousand five hundred 13 units has been completed. 22 lakh one thousand four hundred 45 units are registered in the public distribution system in the district.

There are about 561657 ration cards of eligible Antyodaya and eligible households in the district. On Antyodaya card, 35 kg ration is given per card, while on eligible household ration card, five kg grains are given per unit. Instructions were issued by the government to conduct e-KYC of all the units (members) registered in the ration card.

The process of e-KYC was going on for about a year. From around October 1, there was a ban on giving ration to card holders without e-KYC. After this some people got e-KYC done. Even after the deadline set by the government till December 31, about one lakh 33 thousand units did not get e-KYC done. For the last three-four months, those who have done e-KYC have not even taken ration. At present, the work of KYC through e-loop machine is going on even after the last date. According to departmental information, the names of those without e-KYC will be removed from the ration card at any time.

E-KYC can be done anywhere

The government has started the scheme of One Nation One Ration Card. For this, any ration card holder can get his e-KYC done in any district. For this he will have to go to the nearby quota shop and tell his ration card number. After this, as soon as the thumb is inserted in the e-loop machine, its e-KYC will be done.

About one lakh 33 thousand units have not got e-KYC done. E-KYC is being done even after the last date, but sometimes e-KYC may be stopped. Ration card holder can get e-KYC done anywhere.- Ubaidur Rahman, District Supply Officer, Rae Bareli.
