The mother, hurt by not getting justice in the case of the death of her son Kashyap Kumar (10) three months ago in the hostel of Mount Summer Convent School run in Bahadurpur police station area, consumed poisonous substance on Sunday evening. The relatives first took him to a private hospital.
On Monday, after being referred by the doctor, he was admitted to DMCH at night, where he died during treatment in the emergency of DMCH at 10 am on Tuesday.
Manisha Kumari (35), wife of Luv Kumar, originally resident of Ghosh Lane Gudri Bazar of Nagar police station of Samastipur district, lived in a rented house near Malechch Mardani of Nagar police station area and worked in a saree shop. His maternal home is in Hanumannagar Bhatiyari Sarai of Laheriyasarai police station area.

According to the information, Kashyap Kumar (10) was studying in the second class in Mount Summer School run in KM Tank locality of Laheriasarai police station area.
He was nominated on 10 September 2025. Mother Manisha Kumari had taken him with her on the occasion of Durga Puja. On October 7, at seven in the morning, she took Kashyap Kumar to school and went to work. That same night at around eight o'clock he got a call from the school saying that his child's health had deteriorated.
Who has been admitted to a private nursing home located at Daru Bhatti Chowk, Laheriasarai. After this information, when Manisha reached the hospital with her brother and other relatives, the doctors told that Kashyap had died before reaching here.
Uncle Shiv Shankar Sah told that the child was absolutely fine till morning and had gone to school laughing. Angered by the incident, people blocked the Donar-Naka 5 road located at Bhatiarisarai in the city.
Relatives and local residents were angry with the attitude of the police. Alleged that the school people have murdered our only child. The school students first beat him badly. When he died due to the beating, he was admitted to a nursing home to avoid the crime of murder. He had said that how can a 10-year-old child of second class commit suicide by hanging himself?
If he had committed suicide then the school staff neither informed his relatives nor called the police. How was it taken down from the noose without informing anyone? Later, on the assurance of the police, the relatives took the body for cremation. In this case, Bahadurpur police station incharge Prasunjay Kumar said that on the basis of post mortem report and investigation, the final form was submitted considering Kashyap's death as suicide.

Here, mother Manisha Kumari kept wandering among the officials for justice. Brother Shivshankar Sah told that Manisha consumed poison in Bhatiya Sarai on Sunday evening. They came to know about it when she started vomiting.
