A minor altercation between two parties quickly turned into a major dispute at around 9:30 pm on Sunday night in Alipur area of ​​Ashta tehsil of Sehore district of Madhya Pradesh. The situation worsened so much that stones were pelted and many vehicles parked on the roadside were vandalized, causing chaos in the area.

According to the information received, a dispute had started between Karni Sena workers returning from Harda and some people of a particular community over some issue. After an altercation, both the parties came face to face and stone pelting started. During this time, vehicles parked on the roadside were also targeted. As soon as information about the incident was received, heavy police force from nearby police stations including Ashta and Parvati police stations reached the spot.

The police had to work hard to control the situation. According to sources, tear gas shells were fired and mild force was also used to disperse the crowd, although this has not been officially confirmed. Due to the incident, there was a traffic jam for some time due to which the pedestrians and local people had to face problems. News of sloganeering has also come to light.

The atmosphere was not completely calm till 11.45 pm. Till the time of writing the news, no case had been registered against anyone from either side. An attempt was made to contact Ashta SDOP Akash Amalkar in this regard, but he could not be reached.

Parvati police station in-charge Harisingh Parmar attended the call, but due to the large crowd at the spot, a clear conversation could not take place. The police administration is monitoring the situation and additional forces have been deployed in the area.
