Samvad Sutra, Muktsar. The car fell into a canal in Alamwala village of Lambi area of Muktsar. Due to this, the mother and two and a half year old girl died due to drowning. After the car fell into the canal, the driver was swept away by opening the window but was saved by touching the bushes.
Local people said that as soon as they heard the sound of the car falling, they reached the bank of the canal with ropes for rescue. The driver got bushes in his hands. Due to this he was taken out with the help of a rope. After this, the girl and the woman were rescued by jumping into the canal. They were taken to Malot hospital where doctors declared the girl and the woman dead.
ASI Pritam Singh of Kabarwala police station said that the car fell into the canal around 8.30 pm. The woman is 35 years old and the girl is around two and a half years old. All the people had gone to Sirsa a day before and were returning from there late at night. According to preliminary investigation and information received from the people, it has come to light that due to the light of the car coming from ahead falling in the eyes, the driver could not control the vehicle and the vehicle fell in the city.
ASI Pritam Singh said that apart from the primary investigation, investigation is also being done from other angles. Some people have also expressed doubt over the driver's survival. However, further action will be taken based on the statement of the woman's maternal home. Was there any fight in the family or had they come after fighting somewhere, these angles are also being investigated. It will be difficult to say anything until the investigation is completed.
