Music Dispute Over Well Worship In Bulandshahr: Scheduled Caste And Muslim Community Fight, 12 Arrested

Jagran correspondent, Bulandshahr. There was a fierce fight between the people of Scheduled Caste and Muslim community. Both the parties clashed over stopping the music system playing during the well worship.

However, there is no report of anyone being injured. The police have registered a report against 64 villagers on charges of assault and SC/ST Act, naming 15 people from the Muslim side including the village head. Police have arrested 12 accused. The video of the incident is also being circulated on the internet media.

There was a program of well worship and Devi Jagran at night at the house of Akash Kumar of Scheduled Caste, resident of village Ginaura Shaikh of Kotwali Dehat area.

During the well worship, relatives and relatives were dancing on the music system. Meanwhile, people from the Muslim side asked to switch off the music system citing the time of Namaz. There was an altercation between the two parties regarding this matter and then a fight broke out. In view of the tension, police force has been deployed in the village.

Police have registered a case on the complaint of victim Akash. Police station in-charge Neeraj Kumar Malik said that there was a scuffle between the two sides over switching off the music system. Patrolling has been increased along with deployment of police force in the village.
