Jagran correspondent, Muzaffarpur. The Supreme Court has banned the entry of dogs in institutions run under the Health Department. After which, the health officials have ordered the officials of the concerned institutions to strictly comply with the entry of dogs in SKMCH, Sadar Hospital, CSC and PHC operated at the district level.
Along with this, in view of the overcrowding of patients in SKMCH, Principal cum Superintendent Dr. Abha Rani has ordered the PSM department to form a dog management team to stop the entry of dogs.
For this, he has made Dr. Vipin Kumar of PSM department the nodal. Under the Dog Management Team, he has been asked to work on guidelines to ensure that dogs do not enter SKMCH.
Principal cum Superintendent said that often more than five thousand patients come here along with their relatives for treatment. Congestion persists. MBBS, PG, Post DNB, Nursing and Paramedical are taught here.
More than seven hundred patients are also admitted in the indoor ward every day. In view of this, a dog management team has been formed as per the order of the Supreme Court. Which will be headed by Dr. Vipin Kumar of PSM department. The administration of the institute will help him. The necessary resources they require for dog management will be provided.
On the other hand, the Civil Surgeon has asked the outsourcing agency established for security in CHC and PHC including Sadar Hospital to be strict on the entry of dogs. It is being told that the all-round boundary wall of SKMCH is dilapidated. Due to this, apart from dogs, other animals also enter easily. Due to which, the students as well as the patients and their relatives often face danger from animals.
These days there is terror of monkeys in SKMCH. Last week, a group of monkeys attacked the students of girls hostel. Half a dozen students were scratched. Due to which there was chaos.
