Names Of 4.47 Lakh Voters Removed From Voter List In Noida-Greater Noida, Register Objection Till 6th February

Jagran correspondent, Greater Noida. In the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), names of 4.47 voters in Gautam Buddha Nagar have been struck off. In the draft voter list released by the district administration on Tuesday, maximum names of 209050 voters have been deleted in Noida Assembly. These include absentee, shift and dead category voters. Most of the names have been deleted from the people living in villages and colonies.

These are the people who have either shifted or could not provide details for 2003. In the Lok Sabha elections 2024, out of total 1865673 voters in the three assembly constituencies of the district, Noida, Dadri and Jewar, only 1418202 submitted forms in the SIR.

The voter list has been published at all 743 booths, where voters can check their name in the list. If your name is not included, you can apply till February 6. 1.76 lakh voters in the district have not submitted their 2003 details.

SIR started in the district from November 4. Around 1868 BLOs distributed forms door to door. Under the Lok Sabha elections, a survey was conducted on a total of 1865673 voters in the district. According to the district administration, BLOs distributed 100 percent census forms, but a total of 1418202 forms were digitized i.e. deposited.

Of these, mapping of more than 12 lakh has been done, while 1.76 lakh have not yet presented their and their family's details of 2003. A total of 23.98 percent i.e. 4.47 lakh voters have been kept in the (absent, shifted and dead) category.

All of them have been excluded from the voter list. Notices will be issued by the district administration to those voters who have not given their 2003 details, all these notices will be issued as per the guidelines of the Election Commission.

Highest number of forms collected in Jewar Assembly

In Jewar Assembly, out of total 367763 voters, maximum 293499 voters have submitted the forms, while 19866 did not submit their details. At the same time, Noida, the assembly with the highest number of voters, lagged behind in this matter.

Total voters in Noida Assembly are 771082, out of which 562032 voters have submitted forms, while 57504 have not given their details. At the same time, out of total 726828 voters in Dadri Assembly, 562671 submitted forms. In Dadri Assembly, the highest number of 98,858 did not submit their details.

About 209050 voters are included in the (absent, shifted and dead) category in Noida Assembly. Names of 164157 voters in Dadri and 74264 in Jewar have been deleted.

101 polling stations and 156 polling places increased

There has been an increase in 101 polling stations and 156 polling places in the three assemblies of the district. There were 196 polling stations in Noida, which increased to 233, in Dadri it increased from 245 to 303 and in Jewar the number of polling stations increased from 201 to 207. Whereas polling places have increased from 752 to 811 in Noida, from 718 to 794 in Dadri and from 398 to 419 in Jewar.
