It was told by the Sub-Divisional Officer that the investigation of suspicious ration cards is being reviewed at the department level. In this context, it has been found that there are many doubtful beneficiaries who are taking ration card benefits despite being ineligible, which is not appropriate.

In this context, after matching the data given at various places, it was found that there are more than 5000 beneficiaries whose annual income is more than the income allowed for ration card. There are more than 9000 such ration card holders who have more than several acres of land and are taking the benefits of PM Kisan Samman Yojana.

It has also been found that 471 beneficiaries are those who have four wheelers, 216 are such beneficiaries who are directors or holding good positions in any company and are availing the benefit of ration.

Along with this, 24 persons have been found whose GST turnover is more than Rs 25 lakh and they are availing the benefit of ration card. Thus far, more than 15,000 Public Distribution System ration card holders have been found who are in the category of suspected consumers of receiving ration card ration.

All these suspected consumers are being investigated and after investigation, their ration cards will be canceled and the government grains taken can also be recovered.

Card will be canceled soon

All Block Supply Officers were instructed by the Sub-Divisional Officer to complete the investigation process as soon as possible so that the ration cards of ineligible people can be cancelled. Along with this, according to the information received, people having government jobs, permanent houses etc. are also taking the benefit of ration card which is not correct. Instructions have also been given to investigate this so that ineligible people can be removed from the category of ration cards and ration can be given to eligible people.

An appeal was made by the Sub-Divisional Officer that the ineligible beneficiary should surrender his ration card himself. Along with this, all the supply officers were instructed by the Sub-Divisional Officer to motivate the consumers to ensure that they do their e-KYC as soon as possible.

In case of not doing e-KYC, ration can also be stopped. Assistant District Supply Officer, all Block Supply Officers and all the officers and personnel related to supply were present in the meeting.
