Commercial operations will begin on December 25

Digital Desk, New Delhi. Adani Group's Navi Mumbai International Airport Limited (NMIAL) will deploy a digital-first passenger communication system with free high-speed Wi-Fi when it begins commercial operations on December 25.

Features of Wi-Fi and Adani OneApp

Passengers connecting to Wi-Fi will get real-time updates through Adani OneApp, which will guide passengers to key touchpoints in the terminal. The Wi-Fi-enabled app will deliver flight status alerts, boarding gate information, schedules and other operational information directly to passengers' mobile phones.

NMIAL has partnered with BSNL to deploy mobile network services under its connectivity plan. The collaboration is in line with the government's 'Made in India' initiative, wherein BSNL is using indigenous telecom infrastructure developed by C-DOT, Tejas Networks and TCS.

Navi Mumbai International Airport, Mumbai's second airport, will start with a capacity to handle 20 million passengers in the first phase, with plans to expand to 90 million passengers over time.
