Government's big step on cow conservation.
State Bureau, Lucknow. People in 16 districts are going to get some relief from the problems faced by destitute cattle roaming in the open. Of these, a total of 35 new cow protection centers will be constructed, including five each in Shahjahanpur and Hardoi, four in Sitapur, three in Bahraich, two each in Amethi, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Rae Bareli, Mathura and Lalitpur and one each in Ayodhya, Barabanki, Hapur, Bulandshahr, Jhansi and Jalaun.
The government has released an amount of Rs 56.04 crore for the construction. The Livestock Department has given instructions to start the construction soon.
Yogi government has been giving priority to cow conservation since its first term. For this, more than 7700 cow shelters have been established so far, in which more than 12.50 lakh destitute cows have been kept. In the budget of the current financial year, the government has made a provision of Rs 2,000 crore for the protection of destitute cattle.
The cost of construction of a mega cow shelter center has been increased to Rs 1.60 crore. In an effort to provide shelter to every destitute cow, 560 large cow protection centers have been approved so far this year, out of which construction of 403 centers has been completed and operation of 387 centers has also started.

अब शाहजहांपुर के गांव मुड़ीगवां, रावतपरु, खुलौली, धनरी व दसिया, अयोध्या के गांव मऊ, अमेठी के गांव दक्खिनपुर व कठौरा, बाराबंकी के गांव भिटौलीखास, देवरिया के गांव सेमारी व गाजे, गोरखपुर के गांव हरिहरपुर, हापुड़ के गांव शेखपुर, बुलंदशहर के गांव कोंदू, हरदोई के गांव तेंदुआ, भाहपुर, बालामऊ, गुजराई व मदारपुर, रायबरेली के गांव विनायकपुर व बन्नावा, सीतापुर के गांव रायसेनपुर, पारा प्रथम, पारा द्वितीय व पारा-2, मथुरा के गांव बढ़ौता-7 व बढ़ौता-8, बहराइच के गांव झाला तरहर-2, झाला तरहर-3 व सेमरहना-2, झांसी के गांव सुकवा-2, ललितपुर के गांव भौरसिल-2 व पिपरिया और जालौन के गांव न्यामतपुर में गो संरक्षण केंद्रों का निर्माण कराया जाएगा।
