Fire station being built near Sihani Gate police station. Awakening
Vineet Kumar, Ghaziabad. Kotwali Fire Station, which has been operating for many years, will be closed this year. Its services will not end but will be shifted to the new fire station being built near Sihani Gate police station and will start functioning with more capacity and technical efficiency.
This fire station, being built at a cost of approximately Rs 25 crore, will be the most hi-tech fire station in the district. Where state-of-the-art equipment and smart command systems will be deployed for emergency response, rescue operations and fire control. This month, a fire post being built in Bulandshahr Road Industrial Area will also become operational.
Where are the fire stations now?
It will be started by deploying a vehicle at the fire post. At present, five fire stations are functioning in the district, Kotwali, Vaishali, Sahibabad, Modinagar and Loni. The oldest among these is Kotwali Fire Station. The problem arises here due to less space.
In view of this, a new fire station of Kotwali is being built near Sihani Gate police station. It will be completely ready in six months. About 70 percent construction has been completed.
Apart from this, in view of industrial expansion, preparations for construction of new fire stations in Rupnagar and Tronica City area have also been expedited. According to the fire department, the construction work of these two proposed fire stations is expected to start before March 31.
Fire post will start this month
A new fire post in Bulandshahr Road Industrial Area will become fully active from this month. At present, the services of the post are being started with one fire vehicle. The department estimates that after the outpost becomes operational, there will be a significant reduction in the response time during fire or other emergency incidents in Bulandshahr Road, Kavinagar Industrial Area, Pandav Nagar and surrounding commercial and industrial establishments.
After closing the Kotwali station, the new center being built near Sihani Gate police station will become operational. This will reduce response time. Our reach will also be faster with the new post being started in the industrial area. Rahul Pal, Chief Fire Officer
