Jagran correspondent, Bulandshahr. Now dogs will not be able to enter government hospitals. The doctor in charge will be held responsible if stray dogs enter the hospital premises. For this, after receiving instructions from the Director General, the CMO has issued instructions to the in-charges of all CHCs, PHCs and APHCs.

Where the boundary walls of hospitals are damaged. A boundary wall will be built there and the broken gates will also be repaired. Apart from District Hospital, District Women's Hospital, there are big hospitals in Khurja, Secunderabad and 100 bed Dibai across the district. Apart from this, there are 13 CHCs, five block level PHCs and 73 PHCs besides 365 APHCs.

In this, the boundary walls of some PHCs are damaged and at many places the gates of PHCs and many CHCs are damaged. That's why stray dogs enter. In many government hospitals, dogs keep roaming from ward to emergency.

If we look at the district headquarters itself, in the district hospital affiliated to Kalyan Singh Government Medical College, stray dogs keep roaming inside the OPD, inside the emergency room and inside the ward. Many times, stray dogs eat food items kept near the patient.

Once or twice, pictures and videos of a dog sitting on a patient's bed have also surfaced, but now this will be stopped. The Supreme Court has passed an order for this. In compliance with the same order of the Supreme Court, the Director General Medical and Health Services has issued instructions to the CMOs of all the districts including Bulandshahr.

The Director has directed that dog bite patients coming to the government hospital should be registered separately. In this, the data of patients bitten by pet and stray dogs will be recorded separately.

CMO said that the Director General has given instructions by holding a zoom meeting. From their level, instructions have been given to all the in-charges to keep the premises of all government hospitals free from dogs and to repair the boundary wall, gate of the premises. If a dog is found entering the premises, the in-charge will be held responsible.
