Jagran correspondent, Kurukshetra. National Investigation Agency (NIA) raided Kalra Gun House located on Ladwa Road, Shahabad for two consecutive days. Kurukshetra CIA-2 team was also present during the action.
Gun house owner Vijay Kalra and his son Kush Kalra were arrested after huge irregularities were found, while the other son Lakshya Kalra absconded before the raid. Late on Friday night, NIA sealed the gun house and returned to Bihar, taking both the accused with it.
The NIA team had arrived at around 5 am on Thursday to raid the gun house and the house of owner Vijay Kalra in Green Park Colony. During the investigation, many irregularities were found in the house and shop. On the basis of this, both father and son were caught.
On the second day on Friday, the team again reached the spot and conducted a detailed investigation on the basis of clues found from the computer and laptop. After the investigation was completed late in the night, the shop was sealed.
The team conducted the investigation in a very confidential manner and refused to reveal anything, but according to the information shared by NIA on X, the case is related to illegal arms smuggling in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
The case may also be related to the hand grenade found in October
On October 7 this year, CIA-2 had caught two youths with a hand grenade along with a Punjab number bike from National Highway-152D in Pehowa. Five rounds were recovered from accused Gurvinder and Sandeep, residents of Patiala district of Punjab.
On their behest, Suresh Kumar, resident of Sihi village of Kaithal and Vishu, resident of Patiala, were caught. Many agencies including NIA, IB, Punjab Police were active in this case. During the investigation, names of two gangsters sitting abroad also came to light.
It is believed that this action of NIA in Shahabad may be related to that case somewhere.
