The Public Health Department of Noida Authority has imposed a fine of Rs 5 lakh on bulk waste generator Cloud Kitchen Blink Commerce Private Limited for not complying with the rules of solid waste management. The bulk waste generated from the kitchen was not found to be disposed of scientifically.
On Tuesday, the team under the leadership of OSD Indu Prakash Singh Gaurav Bansal, Project Engineer (I) Gaurav Bansal inspected Cloud Kitchen Blink Commerce Private Limited located in Sector-62.
KarOSD Indu Prakash Singh said that the rules of solid waste management were not being followed in terms of bulk waste generator waste separation, storage and waste processing. Waste is not being segregated. Liquid waste going into sewer.
The garbage is being given to unauthorized scrap dealers, who are dumping the garbage at various places in the city. Single use plastic is completely banned, but cloud kitchen is using banned single use plastic for packing. A total of 50 kg of banned single use plastic containers have been seized.
The area around the building was found to be very dirty. Food and other waste materials are being thrown in nearby parks and other places. In view of the shortcomings, this action has been taken against the cloud kitchen due to non-compliance of bulk waste generator rules.
Also, strict instructions have been given that if the rules of bulk waste generator are not followed completely, then punitive action will be taken against the cloud kitchen as per rules. After this, anti plastic campaign was conducted in Sector-76, Amrapali Princely Market. Everyone was encouraged not to use single use plastic.
150 kg of plastic was seized from Cold Rock Cafe and 60 kg of plastic from Al Nawab Biryani, shopkeepers using banned single use plastic. Sector-42 RCube Monad goods were inspected. Banned use plastic was being used in the goods.
About 80 kg of banned plastic was seized from the consignment. It was also warned that there is a provision of financial penalty for the use of single use plastic. Guided Fortune Committee members including Abhigyanam were present during the inspection.
