Tension increases between Canada and America over Trump's trade policies
According to ANI, Canadian Prime Minister Carney has refuted claims that he has softened his stance on global balance of power after talks with US President Donald Trump.
Speaking to reporters in Ottawa on Tuesday, he refuted the claim of US Finance Minister Scott Besant, in which he said that he remained soft on his statement made in Davos during the telephone conversation with Trump.
When Carney was asked about withdrawing any of his statements, he said, 'No. To be very clear, I have told this to the President. I meant what I said in Davos.
Carney is exploring new business options
Canadians were irritated by PM Trump's statement. Carney's speech in Davos was applauded. Angered by his speech, Trump had canceled the invitation sent to Canada to join the 'Board of Peace'.
