Jagran correspondent, Rae Bareli. There was panic among the villagers after eviction notices were pasted in more than 40 houses located in Raghuveer Ganj market of Kandora village. The villagers are making rounds of the lawyers. There is a big pond near the village.
It is being told that people have been building houses on some parts of it for decades. The tehsil administration has sent a notice to the people asking them to vacate their houses within 15 days, otherwise the administration will recover the expenses incurred on vacating the houses from the house owners.
Home owners Dilshad, Shahenshah, Mohammad Hashim, Ansari and Raju Soni etc. say that a notice was given a few months ago also. The notice has been pasted in the house again on Friday. People said that the houses were built three decades to five decades old. Some people have also purchased from others.
Revenue Inspector Hori Lal says that the court order is being complied with. On the orders of Tehsildar, notices have been pasted in more than 40 houses.
