Almost 90 percent of the smart meter work has been completed.

Earlier the smart meter fee was eight thousand rupees. Due to this, the smart meter charges were costly for the people wanting a new connection. Because of this many people were hesitant in taking the connection. Later this fee was reduced to six thousand rupees, but now this fee has been further reduced.
This will provide a lot of convenience to those interested in a new connection. At present the fee for smart meter has been reduced to Rs 2800. With this initiative, people will not have to bear the additional burden of smart meter on new connections.
Superintending Engineer Chhail Bihari said that efforts are being made continuously to strengthen the electricity system. This initiative will provide great convenience in taking new connections.
