This incident was so fearless that the criminals not only ran away after looting, but also returned after some time and threatened to kill the toll employees. The entire incident has been recorded in the CCTV camera, on the basis of which the police is taking action.

The incident is said to have happened around 12:37 in the night. The white colored Mahindra XUV (number JH 01 FG 1025) going from Rampur towards Vikas stopped at booth number 13 of the toll plaza.

A man and a woman got down from the car. The woman sought help from on-duty toll collector (TC) Vishal Upadhyay on the pretext of back pain.

As soon as Vishal came out of the cabin and went ahead to help, the criminals pointed a pistol at his temple and chest. They looted Vishal's mobile phone and Rs 13,000 in cash in his pocket.

Thrown on the ground in protest, fired upon

When he protested against the robbery, the criminals threw Vishal on the ground. They tried to tie his hands and legs and beat him severely. Meanwhile, a criminal targeted Vishal and opened fire.

The bullet narrowly missed his ear, due to which Vishal narrowly escaped. Hearing the sound of the bullet, the shift in-charge and other toll employees ran to the spot, then the criminals fled towards Vikas, waving weapons.

The audacity of the criminals was clearly visible. After some time of escaping, they again returned to the toll plaza and openly threatened the employees of dire consequences.

During this, he also tried to scare by showing weapons. The toll management immediately handed over the vehicle number and CCTV footage to the police.

Panic among toll employees

Toll employees say that the safety of NHAI property and personnel is now in serious danger. Such incidents are increasing at night, due to which the employees are scared.

Vishal Upadhyay told that he was on duty only to collect toll, but his life was in danger over a small amount.

Police is taking action on the basis of CCTV

Angada police station in-charge said that the suspects are being identified on the basis of CCTV footage and vehicle number. Raids have been started to arrest the criminals.

Police claim that the case will soon be solved and the accused will be put behind the bars.

Toll plaza management has also lodged a complaint regarding this incident. The role of both men and women is being investigated in the investigation.
