There will be no crowd at Patna airport
Jagran correspondent, Patna. Another important step has been taken towards strengthening passenger convenience at Jaiprakash Narayan International Airport, Patna. The fourth and fifth passenger boarding bridges (aerobridges) at the airport were brought into operation from Saturday night. After getting approval from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), both the aerobridges started operating successfully.
The first flight to arrive from the fourth aerobridge was Air India Delhi-Patna sector flight AI 1746, which arrived in Patna with 178 passengers (POB). The aircraft was parked at bay number 10 through an aerobridge connected to boarding gate number 12.
After this, departure flight AI 1819 of Patna-Delhi sector started the formal operation of this aerobridge by taking off with 177 passengers (POB).
First arrival of Delhi-Patna sector flight
At the same time, the first flight to arrive through the fifth aerobridge was IndiGo's Delhi-Patna sector flight 6E 6549, which was carrying 175 passengers (POB). The aircraft was parked at bay number 11 through an aerobridge connected to boarding gate number 12A.
After this, departure flight 6E 6550 of Patna-Delhi sector took off successfully with 178 passengers (POB).
All five aerobridges came into operation
Patna Airport Director Chandra Pratap Dwivedi said that now all five aerobridges are operational at Patna Airport. With the operationalization of both the new aerobridges, the movement of passengers within the terminal building will be more streamlined, crowd management will improve significantly and passengers will benefit from safe, easy and convenient movement.
