Objectionable picture of minor girl goes viral
Jagran correspondent, Jamshedpur. A serious case related to a minor has come to light from Olidih police station area of Mango. An FIR has been lodged at Olidih police station for editing the picture of a minor student and making it viral on social media. An FIR has been registered against Siddharth Mallik on the complaint of the victim's mother.
According to the police, this incident took place on December 18, which is said to have taken place in front of a school located on Mango Dimna Road. The complaint states that the accused edited the photograph of the minor to make it objectionable with the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and made it viral by posting it on the social media platform Snapchat.
Written complaint lodged in Olidih police station
The mother of the minor, who was mentally disturbed by the incident, lodged a written complaint at Olidih police station, after which the police immediately took cognizance and registered an FIR. Inspector Chandan Kumar is investigating the case. Police say that since it is a case involving a minor, it is being taken seriously.
At present, the police are continuously conducting raids to arrest the accused and digital evidence is also being scrutinized. Police have assured that the accused will be arrested soon and legal action will be taken.
