'IND has not changed its stance on oil purchase', Russia's 'attack' on American claim; How much has India's Russian oil import reduced?
New Delhi. It was claimed by America that India has agreed not to buy Russian oil. Now Russia's reaction has come to light regarding these claims. Russia's Foreign Ministry issued a statement on Wednesday to clarify the picture. The Russian Foreign Ministry on Wednesday said it had "no reason" to believe that India has changed its stance on buying Russian oil, despite US claims saying otherwise. That is, Russia directly rejected American claims.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said trade benefits both countries and helps maintain stability in the global energy market. This statement of Russia has come at a time when India has imported the least oil from Russia in January 2025 after October 2022.
