Old Rivalry Took Life In Dhanbad, Car Driver Shot Dead, Accused Absconding

Police investigating the incident on Thursday morning after receiving information about the murder of a car driver.

Jagran correspondent, Putki (Dhanbad). Old rivalry took the form of blood late on Wednesday night in Karkend Sudamdih Colony of Putki police station area. The dispute that started as a minor altercation soon turned violent and a neighbor openly opened fire. 50 year old car driver Ajay Kumar Singh was seriously injured by the bullet. After the incident, there was chaos in the colony and an atmosphere of panic was created in the area.

As soon as people heard the sound of gunshot, people nearby reached the spot. The family members hurriedly took the blood-soaked Ajay Kumar Singh to SNMMCH in Dhanbad for treatment, but the doctors declared him dead after examination. The family members are in a bad condition and crying in the hospital premises, while the incident has spread grief and anger in the entire area.

Based on the statement of the deceased's son, the police have started investigating the case. Police raided the house of the accused to arrest him, but he was found absconding. Police have recovered one live 9 mm bullet and one shell casing from the spot. The blood stains on the road and surrounding area clearly testify to a violent incident.

According to the police, there was a long standing rivalry between the two neighbours, which reached this horrific end. At present, the process of registering an FIR is going on based on the statement of the deceased's son. A large number of police forces have been deployed at the spot to deal with any untoward situation.

Here, post mortem of the dead body is being conducted in Dhanbad. This murder, which took place not in broad daylight but in the silence of the night, has raised questions on law and order. Police claim that the accused will be arrested soon and strict action will be taken.
